1. Motif Seattle – Seattle Central Business District

The Motif Seattle hotel is one of our very top picks for family lodging options in Seattle. The hotel offers beautiful views of both the Olympic Mountains and Elliott Bay while overlooking the center of the city as well.

There is an on-site bar and restaurant for drinks and grabbing a bite to eat (American cuisine) with the family. You can also have food delivered straight to your room as well. The hotel is situated less than 10 minutes from local museums, nops, and other attractions (including the Seattle Art Museum and The Washing State Convention Center). As far as getting around, there are plenty of public transportation options including the Ferry Terminal (less than a mile away).

2. Mayflower Park Hotel – Seattle Central Business District

The second item on our list is an iconic one in the city of Seattle; the Mayflower Park Hotel. Nearly one-hundred years old, the historic hotel was first launched back in the late 1920s. That said, if your family is interested in historical Seattle, you will find few hotels that offer such a unique and pleasing experience as the Mayflower.

Hotel rooms at the Mayflower Park Hotel are somewhat humble in comparison to many modern hotels. However, they are still quite luxurious. They include large comfortable tubs (perfect for soaking in a bubble bath), gorgeous tiled floors, WiFi, flat-screen TVs, and beautiful “old” furnishings.

A few meters from the hotel are a plethora of restaurants, novelty shops, attractions, and things to see. The center of the city is less than 10-minutes walking distance from the hotel steps. On Wednesday nights each week, the hotel hosts a wine reception.

The hotel also features an impressive on-site gym, foreign currency exchange service, room service options, and an onsite eatery. The hotel’s restaurant, Andaluca Restaurant, offers up Mediterranean and International cuisine. There is also Oliver’s Lounge, which serves up snacks, light meals, and house cocktails.

3. La Quinta by Wyndham Seattle Downtown – South Lake Union

The La Quinta brand is a well-known one in many parts of the world, including the United States. Nearly every major city in the States has a La Quinta, Seattle is no exception. That said, the La Quinta by Wyndham Seattle Downtown is one of the nicest in the country.

Just a mile away from the world-famous Seattle Space Needle, the hotel is very conveniently located for family-sized expeditions to Seattle. Furthermore, the University of Washington is less than a 10-minute drive from the hotel, making it even more convenient for families visiting their college student (or attending an event such as graduation).

The rooms of the La Quinta by Wyndham Seattle Downtown are plush and comfortable. Each unit features AC, WiFi, coffee makers, iron boards, hairdryers, toiletries, flat-screen TVs with cable programming, private bathrooms and more.

Hotel facilities include a daily breakfast buffet, a guest launderette, a 24-hour help desk, and even a convenience store (how… well… convenient, is that?) located on the property. There is also parking available on-site (though it is first-come first-serve). For sightseeing or catching a college sports game or music event with the family, this hotel is a great choice.

4. Sheraton Grand Seattle – Seattle Central Business District

The Sheraton Grand Seattle is another must-stay family hotel in this city by the bay. It is absolutely stunning and includes top-notch facilities such as a cutting-edge fitness center (on the 35th floor) as well as an indoor pool, comfy lobbies, a cocktail bar, and family-friendly on-site restaurant.

The hotel itself is located only a few minutes walking distance from some of the best shopping and tourist attractions in Seattle. Pike Place Market, numerous novelty shops and cafes, and intriguing historical architecture are all at your fingertips when lodging here at the Sheraton Grand Seattle.

Rooms are extra plush, including everything from high-end coffee makers and flat-screen TVs with tons of channels to choose from to beautiful private bathrooms with plenty of complimentary toiletries, linens, and more.

The hotel also features Starbucks coffee-making facilities, FedEx center, a gift shop and sundry. An ATM, shipping supplies and services, and computers are also available for guests convenience and business needs.

5. Silver Cloud Hotel – Broadway

Moving down our list we touch on many great options such as the Silver Cloud Hotel. Less than two miles from the iconic Seattle Space Needle, the hotel puts you and your family right where the action is.

Rooms at the Silver Cloud Hotel come with fridges, microwaves, coffee-makers, large 55-inch flat-screen TVs with lots of channels, private bathrooms, and much more. The decor is done in an eye popping light and dark theme. The furniture is dark and the bedding is light.

For families attending university graduations, sporting events, or musical and performing arts productions (or happen to be visiting the Broadmoor Golf Club), the Silver Cloud Hotel is an excellent option for family-friendly lodging in Seattle.

6. The Mediterranean Inn – Queen Anne

Ten minutes from the ever-popular Space Needle is the Mediterranean Inn in the equally favored Queen Anne’s district of Seattle. The Inn is designed with a rooftop terrace and patio that offers some of the greatest views of the city’s skyline of any hotel in Seattle.

Furthermore, as far as views go, the Olympic Mountains, Elliot Bay, and Mount Rainier are also visible from the hotels rooftop and rooms. It really doesn’t get much more scenic than the Mdditerranean Inn as far as family-friendly lodging in Seattle is concerned.

Rooms come equipped with flat-screen TVs, fridges, coffee-makers, work desks, microwaves, private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and plenty of other modern amenities. The rooms also feature comfortable furniture, seating, and bedding.

Hotel facilities include snack and drink machines, fitness center, guest lobbies, coffee-making equipment, business and meeting centers, and a 24-hour help desk just to name a few.

Just over a 15-minute walk from the hotel lies most of the city’s entertainment venues for sporting and other major events. Pike Place Market is approximately 20-minutes by foot. Families who plan to hit up all of the major tourist attractions in Seattle, and do a bit of sightseeing and shopping, couldn’t do much better for lodging options.

7. Palihotel Seattle – Pine Street

THe Palhoteil Seattle on Pine Street is another family-friendly lodging selection with an absolutely excellent location. The hotel is just 300 meters from Pike Place Market, putting you smack-dab in the middle of much of the city’s best shopping, dining, and attractions.

For families with a passion for exploring cities together, you couldn’t ask for a better hotel. That said, the facilities of the place are just as great as the location including private parking, an on-site bar, 24-hour help desk, room service, and much more. The views of Seattle aren’t bad either.

Each of the rooms at the Palihotel features flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, AC, mini-fridges, desks, showers in private bathrooms, free toiletries, and comfortable furnishings and bedding.

Aside from Pike Place Market, there are several popular attractions nearby including the Space Needle itself as well as The Seattle Center and Washington State Convention Center. It’s located in one of the most vibrant parts of the city, to say the least.

8. The Paramount Hotel – Seattle Central Business District

Next on the list is The Paramount Hotel. Situated in the bustling Seattle Central Business District, the hotel is a great choice for families planning to spend time at the Washington State Convention Center or Westlake Center. Pike Place Fish Market and the Paramount Theater are also nearby.

The hotel offers an on-site restaurant for guests, The Dragonfish Cafe, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is American and International cuisine as well as kid-friendly. You can even have it ordered to your room if you feel like having a family-night in.

9. Best Western Plus Palihotel – Pioneer Square

One of the most iconic neighborhoods in Seattle’s Pioneer Square, which is exactly where this Best Western Plus is located. Within eyesight of such classics spots as The Central, and the Seattle Totem Pole, the hotel is situated in an area that families will love exploring.

Rooms at the Best Western Plus Pioneer Square Hotel Downtown are comfortable and offer all modern amenities yet are minimalist in decor and layout. WiFi, flat-screen TVs, fridges, minibars, private bathrooms (only select rooms don’t come with their own bathrooms), free toiletries, and much more are included in each unit.

Pike Place Market and other interesting shops, restaurants, and attractions lie just under a mile away from the hotel. There is also breakfast included in your stay. An ATM is available for guests too.

The hotel is lacking a bit in facilities such as swimming pools, spas, and fitness center, but they make up for it with their family-friendly nature. Pets are allowed at the hotel, which is a major plus for families traveling with their fur-buddies (because pets are part of the family as well).

10. Ace Hotel Seattle – Belltown

The Ace Hotel Seattle is another great family-friendly hotel in the Belltown area of Seattle. Actually, it is within seeing distance of the previous hotel on our list. And, it offers the same great amenities that all of the other best family hotels in Seattle do; free WiFi, breakfast, ATM, and much more.

Pike Place Market, downtown Seattle, restaurants, cafes, and shop after shop are located just outside of the hotel and stretch on for miles.

Each room at the Ace Hotel Seattle comes with a minibar, comfortable furnishing, WiFi, private bathroom, toiletries, AC, and more. The hotel is pet-friendly and staffed by family-friendly employees ready to make your stay the best possible.

Some rooms may not have their own private bathroom, though the price difference will reflect this. That said, this hotel is perfect for families looking to spend time at KeyArena, the Seattle Center, or the Washing State Convention Center.

11. Georgetown Inn Seattle – Corson Avenue South

Yet another family-oriented hotel option for visiting Seattle is the Georgetown Inn. Only 15-minutes driving time from both the legendary Space Needle and the popular Pikes Place Market, the Inn is quite convenient for visiting attractions and shopping downtown.

The Washington State Convention and Trade Center, Century Link Field, and Safeco Field are even less further away from where the inn is situated in Corson Avenue South.

The rooms at the Georgetown Inn Seattle come with all the great amenities that the best hotels are known for. Flat-screen TVs with countless channels, fridges, desks, private bathrooms, toiletries, and more are included with each unit.

The inn is a bit on the basic side of things where hotel facilities are concerned. However, the inn does offer free WiFi, daily breakfast buffet, free parking, and a launderette for guests convenience. Smaller families will love the comfortable and cozy atmosphere of the Georgetown Inn Seattle.

12. Belltown Inn – Belltown

Families seeking out the best lodging options in the Belltown area of Seattle should consider adding the Belltown Inn itself to the top of their lists. Just 10 to 15-minutes walking distance from all the best attractions in town, there are few family lodging options in Seattle offering a better location.

From the inn’s rooftop terrace you can see much of the surrounding area, including the Space Needle (which is just 10-minutes walking distance from the inn). The Olympic Sculpture Park, Pike Place Market, Pacific Science Center, Seattle Art Museum, and many other prime locations are also within a 15-minute walk from the inn.

The hotel rooms themselves at the Belltown Inn include 32-inch LCD TVs with lots of channels to choose from, private bathrooms with free toiletries, coffee-making equipment, free WiFi, and comfortable furnishings and bedding.

The main facilities of the in consist of a 24-hour help desk staffed with friendly receptionists, fax and copy services, a business and meeting center, and a guest launderette. Basic, in comparison to many hotels on this list, but nonetheless an excellent pick for families visiting Seattle.

13. Executive Inn by the Space Needle – South Lake Union

The Executive Inn by the Space Needle, as the name suggests, is located in extremely close proximity to the famous Seattle Space Needle. For families looking to explore downtown Seattle, including attractions such as the Space Needle itself, the Executive Inn is one of the best basecamp locations in town.

Situated only 5-minutes walking distance from the Space Needle, the Executive Inn is within throwing distance of many of the city’s very best dining and shopping options. Most of the best tourist attractions and entertainment venues are also within a few minutes walk or drive of this particular family-friendly Inn.

Rooms are somewhat toned down compared to some of the top hotels on our list. That said, they are still more than comfortable and accommodating. Each unit includes coffee-makers, flat-screen TVs with lots of cable channels, microwaves, fridges, WiFi, and private bathrooms with complimentary toiletries.

The Inn’s facilities include a 24-hour fitness center and help desk as well as a friendly staff and comfortable lobby. Again, this is not the choice for families looking to spend their time in Seattle lounging around in the most luxurious hotel suite available. Rather, this choice is for families who intend to spend most of their time visiting the surrounding areas and attractions.

14. The Loyal Inn Seattle – Belltown

The last mention on our list of the best family hotels in Seattle is none other than the Loyal Inn Seattle. Located in downtown Seattle, it sits a mere 600 meters from the iconic Space Needle and other attractions.

Rooms at the Inn come with AC, flat-screen TVs, private bathrooms, toiletries, hairdryers, WiFi, and plush bedding and furnishings. There is also a 24-hour lobby and front-desk for early or late check-ins or check-outs.

As far as the Inn’s facilities, there isn’t much to speak of other than the help desk and lobby. That said, it is an Inn, not a traditional hotel (so no extra facilities are really expected in the first place).

Pike Place Market, Safeco Field, Westlake Shopping Center, and Century Link Field are less than two miles from the Inn, making it a great choice for families visiting Seattle with the hopes of catching a game or doing some serious shopping.
