The Ultimate Lake Michigan Boat Tour with Mary and Amy…

Count it…

  • 1,638 miles of shoreline;
  • 7 to 43 miles per day;
  • 93 days; and
  • 1 HUGE Lake Michigan.

On July 1, 2012, best friends, Amy Lukas and Mary Catterlin embarked on a journey to canoe the perimeter of Lake Michigan – the sixth largest freshwater lake in the world.

And that’s not all…

They hand built their canoe (nicknamed Makeba) by chopping down a cottonwood tree and hollowing out the 2,600 pound log!

So badass, right?

Learn how Amy and Mary conquered Lake Michigan and had a rock’n good time in this inspiring interview…

Peace & Quiet; Mackinac Island, Michigan

Listen.  Do you hear that?  The cars…. or shall I say, the absence of cars.  Mackinac Island is a perfect getaway for anyone needing to escape the hustle and bustle of work, city life, and traffic as no motorized vehicles are allowed on the island.

Yep, you heard it right.  No vehicles (with the exception of handicap vehicle, of course).

Just imagine walking, biking or hearing the click-clock of horses strolling through town.  Say goodbye to stress and hello to peace and quiet on Mackinac Island where Lake Huron meets Lake MichiganContinue
