The Beginner’s Guide to Belgrade, Serbia

City Guide Belgrade

My name is Zorica and my city is Belgrade.

I have lived in my city Belgrade for 20 years.

My city is best described by these five words: buzzing, mysterious, progressive, hospitable, and beautiful.

The most famous thing about my city is its nightlife.

The best way to explore my city is by walking.

The best place to shop is at the shopping malls Delta City and Ušće shopping center.  They have a wide variety of brands, movie theathers etc.

A good walking tour is through the downtown and the Belgrade fortress. You’ll see the Republic Square, Kralja Petra street, Kalemegdan park and other landmarks along the way.

Madrid’s Best Kept Secrets Every Woman Should Know…

Madrid Skyline

My name is Brandy Bell and my city is Madrid, Spain.

I have lived in Madrid for three years, after falling in love with the city at the end of my round the world trip.

My city is best described by these five words: sleepless, artistic, (relatively) inexpensive, diverse, and socially active.

The most famous thing about my city is The Prado Museum: with over 8,000 pieces of art ranging from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Most prominent works of art include Goya, El Greco, and Velazquez.

The best way to explore my city is on foot, strolling along the smaller streets and following the sounds of the packed sidewalk cafes you are sure to have the most fun.

When my girlfriends come for a visit, I always take them to El Tigre first, because the drinks are strong, the tapas are free and the men are gorgeous. El Tigre is a fairly well known and frequented tapas bar in the Chueca area (Metro Chueca), famous for their heaping plates and overflowing crowds, make sure to get there early if you want space.

The best place to take a guy on a date is a Real Madrid / Atletico Madrid “soccer” (we call it football!) match. The animation and excitement of the crowd can only be found in Spanish fans, and people come from all over the country to watch the world champions at play.
